The Samurai

I'm listening to "The Samurai" with Audible app. The novel was written by Shusaku Endo. I'm a big fan of Endo, so I read the novel right after it was published. This is one of the top three Endo's novel for me. 

The story was a kind of adventure novel based on real history. The samurai was the first Japanese to go to Europe. He was a lower ranked samurai, but he had to do a special mission. 

Like other Endo's novel, Christianity was one of the theme of the novel. I'll enjoy the story to the last with audiobook.
