Kochikame

Japan's famous police manga "Kochira Katsushika-ku Kamearikoen-mae Hashutsujo” or Kichikame will be ended on Sept. 17 after a four-decade run.
When I was young, I used to read Shonen Jump. I read the manga, but I don't really like it. I didn't think it lasted so much long time.
I remember the author, Osamu Akimoto, used to be named Tatuhiko Yamadime. It named after a popular manga artist Tatuhiko Yamagami who wrote a slap stick policeman manga, Gakideka. I really liked Gakideka, in fact.

Japanese Manga

Manga plays an important role of Japanese culture. Manga attracts people from all over the world. Many people learn Japanese and visit Japan because they like Japanese manga. I have to admit that reading manga is fun and sometimes useful. I used to read manga, but I don't read manga for a long time.
I rarely read manga because I like reading novels. While reading novels, I can imagine my own world, but I can't do that by reading manga. I easily lost concentration while reading manga. Manga has the authors image already. That makes me bored.

Mizuki-San Dies

A popular manga artist Mizuki Shigeru known for "Ggege no Kitsro" has died at age of 93. He might become a real yokai, traditional Japanese monster.
His "Gegege no Kitaro" adapted into TV animation series many times. I think almost every Japanese know Kitaro. He is so beloved manga character.
Mizuki's hometown Sakaiminato-shi, Tottori has featured him and displays more than 100 statues of his characters alongside the "Mizuki Shigeru Road" which is a major tourists spot in the prefecture.
