Hiroshima Becomes Champion

Japanese professional baseball team Hiroshima Carp has won the 2016 Central League championship for the first time in 25 years. The last victory was in 1991, so the fans were waiting for the triumph long lond years.
When I was a middle and high school student, Carp was reall strong. But after free agent system was introduced, Carp lost many good players by the system.
The winning game took place at Tokyo Dome against Tokyo Giamts. Even so, the stand was filled with Carp red uniforms as at Mazda Studiam in Hiroshima.

Mr Obama in Hiroshima

The President of the United States Barack Obama became the first sitting U.S. president to visit Hiroshima. 71 years ago, the United States used the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima and killed at least 140,000 innocent people there.
Mr Obama visited the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum only ten minutes and laid a wreath at the Peace Memorial Park.
After made his address, he spoke to two survivors and hugging them. I was moved their hugging. That was a historical moment.

August 6, 1945

Seventy years ago today, the United States dropped the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima. American President Truman ordered the inhuman attack.
The victims of the attack were mainly ordinary citizens. About 140,000 people had died by the end of the year. I pray from the bottom of my heart for the victims.
The atomic bombing was apparently a war crime because the target of the attack was civilians. American government knew that Japan was about to surrender before the bombing, so they didn't need to do the brutal attack.
I really hope the United States President admits the fact that the atomic bombing was a war crime and decides to apologize for the victims.

Death Tall 39 in Hiroshima

Landslides in Hiroshima left 39 people dead while 51 people are still missing, according to the police.
I watched a news show and it said that the soil of the disaster areas' surface is mainly masado. That kind of soli can absorb rainwater easily compare to others. And after holding enough water, the soil would slip down unexpectedly.
Rescue workers are struggling to help victims because the bad conditions which prevent using heavy machines.

Landslides in Hiroshima

At least 36 people were killed by landslides early in the morning in Hiroshima today. The deadly landslides were caused by intense rain in the area. I'm really sorry for the victims.
I've heard about the similar disasters caused by heavy intensive rainfall at many places in Japan. Residents living near the mountain area should be careful when it's raining hard.
