Listening to a Murakami

I'm listening to Murakami's "The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle" with Audible. The story is 26 hours lond and I'm at 23 hours now. 

I once read the novel, but I didn't remember the story. The story is a typical  Murakami. I enjoy the world, but I can't understand the meaning of each episodes immediately. Maybe, when I finish it, I would feel something from the novel.

The Wind-up Bird Chronicle

I'm listening to English version of "The Wind-up Bird Chronicle" by Haruki Murakami now. The audiobook is 26 hours long. I can enjoy it for a long time. 

I've read the novel right after it had published. It was an interesting and strange story as well as most of Murakami's novels. Once you begin to read it, you couldn't stop it, perhaps. 

If I tried to read the long story in English, I would need at least six months to finish it. But, I can enjoy it easily with audiobook. That's wonderful.

Finished a Murakami

I finished an audiobook, "Hard-boiled Wonderland and the End of the World" with Audible app. It was 14 hours long and took 10 days for me. Sometimes, l had lost while listening to Hard-boiled part, but I managed to through it. 

I really enjoyed the twisted story. It's far from realistic and of course, that was real Murakami's world.

Finally Finished 1Q84

I finished a long story "1Q84" with its English audiobook version. The recording time is 46 hours and it took entire three weeks for me to listen to. It might be the longest novel of Haruki Murakami. 

The overall story was quite fantastic, but realistic in detail and kept in good suspense. The heroine who lived in 1984 strayed into the year of 1Q84 which has two moons. That was the start of the story. It might not be the best of Murakami, but you can't stop reading or listening to it.

Seven Hours Left

I've been listening to a Murakami's novel "1Q84" with Audible, an appropriation for audiobook. The story is 46 hours long and I have seven hours left. 

The story is far from reality. That is because the author doesn't like realistic story. Only "Norwegian Wood" was a realistic one.

I'm into the unusual story almost three weeks. But it'll end soon.

I've been listening to "1Q84" with audible. Thirteen hours have passed and now little people appeared in the story. The story is going into Murakami world. I really enjoy the world.

Listening to 1Q84

I'm listening to another Murakami, "1Q84" in English with audiobook. 1Q84 is a long story. It takes over 46 hours to listen to, but I don't feel that long. 

I really like Murakami stories. In fact, I've read all of his novels. Listening to his novels in English is so much fun for me.

Unstoppable Story

I listened to an audiobook in English for two and a half hours today. I couldn't stop listening to the story. The novel was "Kafka on the Shore" written by a Japanese writer Murakami Haruki. 

The story was unstoppable. I finished a half of the book now. Interesting characters appeared in the story, like Nakata-san and Jhonney Walker. The story has just begun to move faster and faster. I read the novel before, but I almost forgot about the remarkable story. I really recommend it. I think audiobook version would be good for the novel.

One Hour Left

I continued to listen to an English version of Murakami with Audible. I listened it two hours today. I really enjoyed listening to the novel in English.

The story is quite normal compare to other his works. Love and affairs. It seems normal, but a little bit different from others' novels. Only a little, but that makes Murakami's stories special. I can't describe it well, though. 

I'll have finished the audiobook tomorrow since I have only one hour left.

South of the Border, West of the Sun

I'm listening to an audiobook, South of the Border, West of the Sun written by Haruki Murakami. I'm at a half of the story now. I read the book several times before, but even though I can enjoy listening to the novel in English. 

The story will be more interesting than the first half of it. I'm really thrilled to listen to the left of that.

Next Audiobook

I've downloaded an audiobook titled "Norwegian Wood". The author is, of course, Haruki Murakami. It'll take 13 hours to listen to. I already listened to the part one. Since the novel is originally in Japanese, I could concentrate on the story immediately. 

I use Audible app to listening to audiobooks. Audible is very convenient for me and their charging plans are reasonable. I really recommend it.

Making Characters in a Novel

Every characters in a novel were part of my own self, said Haruki Murakami in his new book. He continued that he could be anyone he wanted to be and that was the most significant thing for a writer. You could be a young beautiful lesbian or a 15-year-old boy. 

These characters began to take action and made the Murakami's world automatically. He just followed the characters' movement, Murakami said. That was his way of making a story.

Running for Writing, Haruki Murakami

Running everyday over 30 years. Haruki Murakami has been running or swimming everyday over 30 years. He started the habit while he was writing "A Wild Sheep Chase". He said that running makes up his writing skill, but few people can understand that. 

He said that a writer makes a story, and making a story needs physical strength. That was his belief.

How to Write a Novel

Haruki Murakami described his way to write a novel in his new book. Take a lots of time for writing and do your best as much as you can. That was his advice on writing a novel. 

After he finishes the first draft of the novel, he rewrites again and again, over and over until he thinks there are no room for improvement. 

Time is the most important factor for writing a novel, he said that again and again.

A New Murakami

I bought a Murakami Haruki's new book. The book was a collection of essays. He wrote how he became a writer, how he writes novels and what brings him to write. 

They were very interesting essays and I was really happy to read his book especially in Japanese. He has lots of foreign fans and they are eager to read his works in Japanese. 

He wrote his thoughts on literary awards. He said that he doesn't care about awards. The most important thing is the work itself. No one can remember a literary award three years ago, even if it was the Nobel prize. But a good novel will be remaining in the readers. I'm totally agree with that.
