Cold Wave

A cold wave is hitting Japan. The weather forecast said that it will snow here tomorrow. They said we will have 30 centimeters depth snow tomorrow.
In Tokyo, it snowed in the morning and public transportations there
didn't work well. Many workers and students had to stay in the stations.

Winter Has Come

I had my tires changed today. I usually change tires in December, but I did it earlier this year. I thought the first snow will come soon this season.
In Sapporo, over 40 cms of snow had fallen and that was the highest record in 62 years for this time of November. Is that a signal that heavy snow will fall in this winter?

Winter Again

It was windy and cold today. The snow was falling now and then. The waves in the sea were 6 meters height. It seemed winter has come back here. The temperature was below 5 degrees. I was almost frozen.
Tomorrow will be the same. The roads here would be icy. We should be careful with driving in the morning.

Atsukan

The cold weather is getting back. It was warm a few days ago. On a day like this I'd like to have at sultan, hot sake, with oden. Oden is a kind of Japanese stew.
Fortunately, today's dinner is oden. Sorry, I'll give up to studying English tonight and drink atsukan. It'll be great! See you!

Real Winter

It was cold in this morning. I found my car's windshield frozen. I boiled some kettle of water and melted the frost. From now on this happens so often. The real winter has come here. I hope we don't get a lot of snow this season.

Set a heater

It's getting colder and colder these days. I set a heater in the living room and bought a tank of kerosene yesterday. It cost astonishing 99 yen/l and that'll be killing me until next April.
