Indonesia Sinks Illegal Fishing Boats

Indonesian government has sunk 41 foreign boats due to illegal fishing in its territory. One of the vessels was from China and others were from Vietnam, Thailand and Philippines. 

A nation's territorial waters should be protected from others. The foreign fishing boats obviously broke laws and should be punished. I believe Jakarta did the punishment after giving warning repeatedly. 

I don't think Japanese government could do the same if it happens in Japanese territorial waters. But I think every countries have to obey the laws, therefore Tokyo should apply Japanese law on that issue even if Chinese vessels break into Japanese territory and do the illegal things.

Indonesian New President

Mr. Jokowi has taken over the office in Indonesia, the world largest Muslim community, on October 20th. 

Just a decade ago, he was only a successful furniture company owner and besides he was raised in a poor family. In 2005 he became a mayor of Solo and then governor of Indonesian capital, Jacarta. 

He governed these regions so well and became a popular politician in the Muslim country despite he is a Christian. Unlike former presidents, he is not from political elite family, so lots of Indonesian people thought he could change the country to the good direction. 

There would be many controversial issues to solve in the largest democratic Muslim country. I hope his governing goes well and be safe from anti government extremists.
