Parents Meeting

I took part in a parents meeting of my son's high school and junior high school  table tennis club. About twenty parents and two teachers had a meeting and after that a party was held there.
The parents came from Yamaguchi, Kkayama and our prefecture, Shimane. I became one of a vice-presidents. I have to take care of the parents meeting for a year.

School Report Card

I received my son's high school report card. It was obviously dropped. Obviously he didn't study much. He was supposed to study during the exams, but he played video games and went to karaoke.
It's Christmas today. The report card was a good Christmas present for me. Sigh.

August 31st

No one might like August 31th. When you were a child, school would start tomorrow and you had plenty of homeworkers. Probably, you had to read a novel for your book report. I was the one, of course.
Sadly, some children don't like the day because they are bullied at school. They don't want to go to school and some of them try to suicide on the day.
I don't want to hear those sad news tomorrow. If you see someone is bullied, be brave to save your friends from bullying. I hope every students can go to school tomorrow or at least no one waste their bright future.

300 Packs of Yakisoba

I went to my son's high school festival today. I joined students' fathers group to run Yakisoba stand. We prepared 300 dishes of yakisoba and sold all of them.
There were many food stands in the festival like takoyaki, udon, sweets and so on. These earnings will use for the students.
Students, their families and neighbors came to the festival and looked enjoy themselves today.

Yakisoba Fathers

I'm going to take part in a school festival at my son's high school tomorrow. I have to cook yakisoba at a food stand in the festival. The yakisoba stand is run by students' fathers group called Oyaji-no-Kai. I was asked to join the group the other day.
It will be the first time to go to high school festival in several decades. The students might look forward to being the festival, so I promise that I'll cook delicious yakisoba tomorrow.

A Farewell Party

I want to my son's farewell party. It was held by my son's middle school table tennis team.
There were five graduates this year. Many of them are waiting for the results of public high school entrance exam for now, but they would go to different directions from now on.
I really thanked the club teacher. My son was often against the teacher, but he taught my son patiently.
We eat and drink a lot in the party and took some wonderful photos there. It would be a good memory for all of us.

My Son's Departure

My younger son graduated from middle school today. I attended the ceremony and I thought I would be moved by that, but I didn't that much. That was probably because the students didn't sing the songs in the ceremony loudly.
Aside from that, I'm happy for his departure. He always got a 100 on tests at school, but in 5 subjects total. I hope he will study hard in high school.

A Letter

I found a letter which my son wrote when he was graduated from elementary school three years ago.
He thanked my wife and me in the letter. He also wrote how he will study hard to get a good grade in middle school. He said he will get at least 450 points in five main subjects.
The reality is that.... I shouldn't say anything about that. He is about to graduate from middle school. He did not study well, but he was good at sports club and I really proud of his effor to the club.
I have a little hope that he finally figures out the importance of studying for his future career in coming three years of high school days.

High School

I have payed a high school entrance exam fee for my son today. He has chosen the school because he wants to join the school's table tennis team.
He only needs to pass an interview for the school. So, he doesn't need to take math or English tests. He is not good at studying so that would be better for him.

To Shot Cram Schools

Yoyogi Seminar, one of a major college preparing school in Japan, will shut down its branch schools all over Japan, according to the school official. They have 27 schools now and will close 20 schools next spring.
The birth rate in Japan has been decreasing. That would be one of the reasons of the closing.

Graduate Ceremony

My son has just graduated from high school today. I went to the ceremony with my wife.
As I wated the ceremony, I thought my son's 18 years and it was only a moment for me. He might think his school day lasted long but I felt his entrance ceremony of kindergarten was only yesterday. I was not able to do much for him but he did well as much as he could. I really proud of him.
