Taking Water

It's been hot. I have to work outside at a fish market in the morning. While fish auctions, I have to bit among other auctioneers. The crowd create deadly heat, so I'm sweating every morning.
To prevent heat stroke, I take lots of tea and water at least three liter a day. I don't know when this heat will end, but l'm really looking forward to autumn. Really.

August 31st

No one might like August 31th. When you were a child, school would start tomorrow and you had plenty of homeworkers. Probably, you had to read a novel for your book report. I was the one, of course.
Sadly, some children don't like the day because they are bullied at school. They don't want to go to school and some of them try to suicide on the day.
I don't want to hear those sad news tomorrow. If you see someone is bullied, be brave to save your friends from bullying. I hope every students can go to school tomorrow or at least no one waste their bright future.

Accidents in Summer

As it was the first Sunday in August, 13 people have died due to accidents at sea, river and mountains all over Japan yesterday.
On a day like yesterday, it's natural that you want to go to somewhere for escaping from heat. Beaches and mountain areas are good for that, but you have to be careful while you enjoy doing summer activities. You don't need to be brave for these activities.
Drowning is frequently happened, especially children. Remember, children can drown easily than you think. They can drown even in 5 cm depth water. Please keep watching them.

Olympics in Heat

It's been really hot all over Japan. The temperatures are over 35 degrees in many places. I can't stand this heat, but athletes will have to bare this deadly heat. In 2020, Tokyo Olympics will be start in July.
Indoor competitions will be no problem, because air conditioners will be equipped in the gyms, but how about outside? I don't think athletes will perform well in this high temperature. Why don't we held Olympics in autumn?

It's Been Hot

It was really hot today. The temperature was 35 degrees. Inside of my house was 32 in the morning. I was almost dead.
I was able to withstand the high temperature without air conditioner at first, but I surrendered the heat in the afternoon.
On the TV screen, high school baseball players played for Koshien. That was crazy for me, but their play is one of the topical Japanese summer customs.

Fireworks Festival

Matsue Suigosai Fireworks Display was held yesterday. The event was postponed due to the approaching of a big typhoon in early August. Thanks to the good weather, 290,000 people enjoyed the 9,000 of fireworks.
There were many yatais, or food stands, in the square near the city hall where people were watching the fireworks. My two sons went to see the display with their friends and enjoyed it.
The summer events is over and autumn is just around the corner. Time flies.

Cool Summer

Usually, August is the hottest month in Japan. It's hard to survive without air conditioner here. But our family had to survive without using AC for several years because our AC had been broken.
We finally bought a new air conditioner in this July. I thought the new AC would work hard for my family, but I was wrong. It's been cool this summer, so we rarely turn the AC on. We can save the electricity cost. That's good.

You will die if the body temperature rises higher than 42C. Before that immediate treatments are needed. Cool the body as quickly as possible.
To prevent the deseases, you should stay out of the sun and drink lots of water. Take care and stay safe everyone.

Vehicular Heatstroke

Another hot summer has come. Every year, I hear some bad news about deaths of children from vehicular heatstroke. They were killed by their parents because they were left in a hot car. During that time, the parents often go inside a pachinko shop. There are some people who mustn't have children. These parents are that kind of person. I hope I won't hear those kind of terrible news this summer.

Few Fish in the Market

I go to two fish markets every morning. There weren't many fish at the markets in this week. We call this phenomenon "Natsu-gare" in Japanese. Natsu means summer and gare means withered.
Usually, this phenomenon lasts until September. During the Natsu-gare season, fish prices are much hier than usual.
Once a typhoon come to around Japan, Natsu-gare will end.
