Table Tennis Rubber

My son practices table tennis at high school everyday even though he doesn't officially high school student now. Sometimes he plays from 9am to 9pm. And there is a big problem. Rubber.
Usually, table tennis players need two rubbers on their rackets. The costs are deadly high. If you want to perform as a professional, you have to pay ¥10,000 to ¥16,000 for a racket. That means a sheet of rubber costs ¥5,000 to ¥8,000. My son would replace the rubber at least once a month or sometimes twice.
It would be killing me. Sigh.
